Charles Chaulieu was a French composer and music teacher. Chaulieu studied at the Conservatoire de Paris by Louis Adam and Charles Simon Catel and won first prizes in piano and harmony. Between 1833 and 1835, he worked on the journal Le Pianist. He wrote a number of music education journals and composed romances and sonatas for the piano. He also made arrangements of opera arias, which were published in Henry Lemoine. From about 1840 he lived in London.
