Stollyar, Yakov

Yakov Yefimovich Stollyar was a Soviet composer. Graduated from the Moscow Conservatoire in 1927, after studies in composition with Catoire. From 1924-35 he taught at the Glazunov Music School in Moscow. Noted film composer, also composed two operas, one symphony, a number of songs alongside his works for stage and film.
